Winterfest Concert
The Adams State College Music Department will present the annual Winterfest Concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, December 11 in Plachy Hall. This concert is an annual event and is a favorite in the community. All of the music ensembles will be performing.
A variety of seasonal music, such as "Sleigh Ride" and "Feliz Navidad" will be on the concert. Other selections include an excerpt from Handel's "Messiah," "Make We Joy" and "Waltz of the Flowers." The audience will join in the festivities singing along on traditional carols. The orchestra will collaborate with the Mountain Valley Dance ballet in a selection from the Nutcracker Suite.
"This concert has a long tradition and will be an enjoyable event for the whole family," Dr. William Lipke, chair department of Music, said.
Come and enjoy a wonderful evening of music. Tickets will be available in the Music Office and at the door. Adults are $3 and students are $1. AS&F and Friends of Music are free. For more information, contact the Music Department at (719) 587-7621.
