Finding Lake Alamosa lecture is February 7 (01-31-08)

Colorado Field Institute's Winter Lecture Series continues with "Finding Lake Alamosa: Ancient Lakes, Faults and Buried Landscapes." The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, in Porter Hall room 130 on the Adams State College campus. The event is free and refreshments will be served.

Geo-scientists from the U.S. Geological Survey will provide a history of the lake, the latest data on what lurks deep below the ground surface, and how these geological structures influence our water in the SLV today. They will highlight water resources and provide practical aspects of their research.
