Overeaters Anonymous program begins Jan. 9 on ASC campus (01-03-08)

The Adams State College Nursing Program and Counseling and Career Center are sponsoring an Overeaters Anonymous group. Beginning Jan. 9, the meetings are scheduled to meet at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Counseling and Career Center, Richardson Hall room 220 on the Adams State College campus.

Overeaters Anonymous is for anyone who feels overwhelmed around food, and recognizes how powerless they are around food. It is not a diet or exercise program. It is based on the Alcoholic Anonymous 12-step spiritual program. Overeaters Anonymous is for people who eat compulsively, can't stop eating, eat too little (anorexic) with a distorted self image, or binge and vomit for fear of becoming too fat.

There is no charge and meetings are anonymous and confidential. For more information call 719-587-7746 or 719-587-8171.
