ASC biology symposium is April 19 (04-02-08)

The Adams State College Biology Program is holding a senior symposium in biology from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, in Porter Hall room 130 (Science and Mathematics Building).

The following biology students will be presenting their material: Jared Romero, "Biodiesel: An Old Idea, but a New Beginning"; Danielle McDonald, "Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy"; Robert Henriksen, "Nesting Success of Red-winged Blackbirds Determined by the Edge Distance and Water Depth"; Fred Korpi, "Retinopathy: Treating the Cause of Blindness"; Matthew Martinez, "Pasture Management and Ecology of Southern Colorado Grazing Systems"; Emily Foertsch, "Human Papiloma Viruses and Their Correlation to Oral and Cervical Cancers"; Spencer Shirk, "Gout: More Painful Than Giving Birth"; Michael Vargas, "The Effects of Southern Pine Beetles on the Timber Industry"; Joe Simmerman, "Isolation and Characterization of GIT-1, a Cellular Motility and Adhesion Protein."
