Our Collection:

The museum features a beautiful collection of Native American pottery including pottery by Maria "Marie" Martinez, Acoma, and Santo Domingo Pueblos; Navajo and Rio Grande Valley weavings that includes a weaving by Eppie Archuleta; paintings by Stephen Quiller, Woody Crumbo and Bill Moyers; bronzes by Bill Moyers (ASC Alum 1939) and a bronze by Allan Houser; antique furniture, porcelain figurines, Havelin china, santos, retablos, ivory and sandstone figurines collected from around the world and donated by Mr. and Mrs. Woodard. We are also proud to feature a collection of memorabilia of former Colorado Governor and ASCs founder William H. "Billy" Adams.

Mission Statement:

"In partnership with the college and valley communities, the Luther E. Bean Museum seeks to preserve, enhance, and promote the study of the diverse culture and history of the San Luis Valley and Adams State College."

Hours:

Summer Hours: Tuesday-Friday 8-4:30pm
Fall/Spring Hours (late Aug-early May): Tuesday-Friday 8-5pm
Closed major holidays and Dec 23 - Jan 2

Admission:

Admission is free. The museum is open to the public.

Special Requests: Group tours during times other than normal operating hours can be arranged. Please call or email us to make arrangements.
