Philosophy
Because we are committed to accessibility of higher education for all students, the Adams State College Connection Programs were established. The Connection Programs are the answer for those who truly want to attend college but don't believe they can afford it. The Connection Programs will help students enroll in, stay in, and graduate from college.
What is the Adams State Connection?
The ASC Connection is low to no cost tuition, fees, and books at Adams State College for four years while you earn your degree. You just need to meet the criteria each year you are enrolled. It's that simple!
What are the criteria?
You must be admitted to ASC, enroll at least full time (12 hours) each semester and complete a minimum of 30 credit hours per academic year while pursuing your first undergraduate degree. Additionally, first-year ASC Connection students must participate in Student Support Services, FIGS mentoring, or a Connections/LINCS class program.
Every student must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and be eligible to receive federal student aid. Your family (parents) and/or student EFC (estimated family contribution) cannot exceed $6062 for Colorado Residents and $4241 for non-residents during the 2008-09 school year.
Once your eligibility for the Adams State Connections Program is established, all you have to do is maintain eligibility, both academic and financial, and you stay Connected for four years.
Who is eligible?
Any student who meets the criteria is eligible, regardless of where you live- there is a plan for everyone!
All you have to do is contact your Admissions Counselor or visit our One Stop Student Services Center in person or on the Web at www.adams.edu/onestop and click on Adams State College Connections. You can also send an email.
