Adams State College is pleased to partner with the Los Angeles County Office of Education.
The County Office of Education provides regionalized and specialized support services to many different communities -- schools, districts, teachers, administrators, preschoolers, students, and parents. http://teachstaracademy.lacoe.edu/
The Division of Curriculum and Instructional Services (CIS) provides technical assistance and professional development opportunities to districts and schools that help them strengthen their educational program. http://teachstaracademy.lacoe.edu/catalog/catalog.html
The Center for Distance and Online Learning combines the flexibility of multimedia technologies with the power of distance learning to design and deliver standards-based teacher professional development and student learning opportunities to K-8 classrooms across the United States.
Exemplary online learning is supported by web-based multimedia formats incorporating text, graphics and video. Schools and districts are offered powerful cost-effective ways to improve classroom instruction, particularly for new teachers and low performing schools. Statewide programs, services, lesson guides and web resources provide direct support for major California professional development initiatives. http://teachstaracademy.lacoe.edu/about/about.html
