through Connected University

Extended Studies has teamed with Classroom Connect's Connected University to offer graduate credit for selected online courses. Connected University is an "online professional development community, providing educators with courses, learning resources, just-in-time support, and a convenient way to interact with your peers nationwide as you work to integrate technology and improve student learning in your classroom." Courses may be completed any time of the day or night, making it incredibly convenient to achieve your professional development goals.

Educators may take advantage of these graduate courses for the following purposes:

-Professional development
-License renewal
-Salary advancement

What courses are offered through Connected University?

To view a list of courses provided by Connected University, visit http://cu.classroom.com, look in the CU News box, and click on "Fact Sheet" or "Recommended Resources."

How do I access courses?

To take advantage of Connected University offerings, educators must subscribe to Connected University. Individual subscriptions are available as well as site licenses for buildings and school districts. Many school districts hold site licenses or pay for individual subscriptions. Contact your school district to see if it already participates with Connected University. For further subscription information call 1.800.638.1639.

How do I register for a course?

Once you've subscribed to Connected University, it's easy to register for courses. Just sign in at http://cu.classroom.com and visit the Course Catalog.

PLEASE NOTE: students are not officially registered with Adams State College until they have completed the Connected University course work.

How much does it cost to take a course for graduate credit?

Adams State College charges a tuition rate of $105 per credit hour. Connected University charges a flat fee of $90 per course. For example:

1.5 Credit Course
$157.50 ASC tuition
$ 90.00 CU fee
$247.50 Total Cost

2 Credit Course
$210.00 ASC tuition
$ 90.00 CU fee
$300.00 Total Cost

3 Credit Course
$315.00 ASC tuition
$ 90.00 CU fee
$405.00 Total Cost

These fees are in addition to the Connected University annual subscription fee.

How are withdrawals and refunds handled?

Since you register with Connected University, all withdrawals and refunds must be negotiated with Classroom Connect. Classroom Connect's policy is to not generally issue refunds for graduate credits.
