Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics

Position Description:
Adams State College invites applications for a one-year position in mathematics at the Visiting Assistant Professor level. We seek energetic and enthusiastic individuals who love teaching mathematics and share our dedication to students. This position is for the 2008-09 academic year. Responsibilities include teaching 12 semester hours (four courses) of introductory mathematics courses per semester and other duties assigned by the Department Chair.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be able to perform the above position description. A minimum of a Master's degree in mathematics or closely related field at the time of appointment is required, a Ph.D. is preferred. Preference will be given to those who have experience and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and student-centered learning.
Salary:
Salary range is $37,000 to $43,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Adams State College offers a competitive benefits package.
