Residence Director

Position Description:

This is a twelve-month administrative appointment that is primarily responsible for the overall administration of a residence hall or group of smaller halls. Population of the halls or areas range from 120 to 488 residents. This position is a full-time, live-in position. Other duties include developing educational, cultural, and social programming with an emphasis on life-long learning skills, supervising paraprofessional staff, working closely with faculty, staff, and other offices on campus as well as with off campus groups. The residence director will meet with residents concerning their college experience, academic plans, strategies for success, and advise hall government. The residence director will represent housing and residence life on campus committees as needed, adjudicate minor disciplinary cases, and be actively involved in the success and retention of residents in the area of responsibility and the campus community. Each Residence Director will be assigned a focus area within the department such as: Diversity Awareness, Health & Wellness, Staff Training & Development, Staff Selection.....

Rank/Salary:

Starting salary range is $21,000 - $24,000/year depending on hall placement and/or experience. Unfurnished apartment, meal plan when cafeteria is open, and a comprehensive benefits package.
