Disabling SMTP Auth in Mozilla Thunderbird

Adams State College prevents mail clients from sending through our mail server from off campus to prevent spammers from using our resources. Some users want to be able to use their normal mail client when then are on the road. SMTP Auth allows users to authenticate to our mail server in order to be able to send email from off campus. This tutorial explains how to DISABLE SMTP Auth functionality should a user no longer need the ability to send from off-campus.
