New Trustee experienced in higher ed (04-29-08)
Governor Bill Ritter recently named Ann Rice to the Board of Trustees for Adams State College. She has served the State of Colorado as a higher education trustee for most of last decade, first as a trustee for the now defunct State College system, and then as a trustee for Metropolitan State College.
Rice is a retired attorney who formerly practiced with McClure & Eggleston, a Denver law firm that maintains an office in Monte Vista, Colo. She specialized in commercial and construction litigation and handled many cases throughout the San Luis Valley. She also serves as a board member and the chairman of the Development Committee for Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado, a residential scholarship program for at-risk young people.
Rice holds a J.D. from the University of Denver School of Law, and a B.A. in public Policy Studies from Duke University. A resident of Greenwood Village, she enjoys running, reading, traveling, and spending time at home with her husband and three teenagers.
