Undergraduate Degree Plans for Licensure

Initial licensure may be obtained in elementary, secondary and K-12 areas. Adams State College has developed specific programs of study for each licensure area for students to choose from to meet State of Colorado Licensure Requirements. Licensure only programs are also available for students who already possess the requisite undergraduate degree in an approved licensure area.

Elementary Licensure

Students seeking elementary education licensure are eligible for their initial license at the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with Elementary Licensure at Adams State College.

 

 

 

Secondary Licensure

Students seeking secondary education licensure are eligible for their initial license at the completion of a bachelor of arts degree in a secondary education licensure approved content area at Adams State College that includes a professional education sequence.

 

K-12 Licensure

Students seeking K-12 education licensure are eligible for their initial license at the completion of a bachelor of arts degree in a K-12 licensure approved content area that includes a professional education sequence.

Adams State College offers three K-12 Licensure approved content area programs: K-12 Art, K-12 Music, K-12 Physical Education.

 

Special Education - Generalist

Students seeking elementary education licensure with special education endorsement are eligible for their initial license at the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with Elementary Education Licensure and Special Education Generalist Endorsement at Adams State College.
