Dr. Margie Miller
Dr. Margie Miller received a Ph.D. in Physical Education, and a M.S.E. in physical education from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas. She received her undergraduate B.S. degree from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas. Dr. Miller has taught physical education in public schools in Kansas and Missouri for 26 years. Most recently she served as district coordinator for Health and Physical Education for the St. Joseph School District in St. Joseph, Missouri, and was an adjunct faculty member at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Dr. Miller has served as President of Missouri AAHPERD, and has served on the National Steering Committee for Physical Best/AAHPERD. Dr. Miller has made numerous professional presentations at the National, Central District AAHPERD, State and local level.
She co-wrote, received and implemented a PEP grant, and several other grants which support physical education. She served as a reviewer and contributor to the latest edition of the Physical Best Activity Guides.
Dr. Miller enjoys hiking, biking, dancing, and swimming, and hopes to take advantage of the nearby ski slopes to improve her downhill skiing skills!
