How do I get an HPPE advisor?
To get an HPPE advisor, just stop by the Academic Advising center at the ONE STOP in the Campus Union Building, and they can assign one to you according to your major.
How do I change my HPPE advisor?
To change your advisor, just stop by the Academic Advising center at the ONE STOP in the Campus Union Building and request a new advisor.
How do I become an HPPE or Coaching Minor?
To declare a minor in HPPE , coaching, or sports studies just stop by the Academic Advising center at the ONE STOP in the Campus Union Building and fill out a short form. In addition, they will assign you a minor advisor.
What does the Major Field writing assessment consist of for HPPE Majors?
The criteria for acceptable writing will be twofold:
- A grade of "C" or better in both Eng 101 and Eng 102.
- Achievement of "Level 1" or better on the writing section of the AP sophomore examination.
HPPE majors will be required to retake Eng 101 and Eng 102 until grades of "C" or better are earned. In addition, any student who does not achieve "Level 1" or better on the writing section of the AP sophomore exam will be required to take ENG 290 Advanced Writing Laboratory and earn a grade of "C" of better in this course.
When do I take the Major Field writing assessment?
All HPPE majors will be assessed the semester following which they have completed 60 credit hours.
When do I apply for graduation?
You will apply for graduation the semester prior to the semester you plan to graduate. Applications for graduation are available on-line at:
