Joyce Centofanti

Assistant Professor Joyce Centofanti received her BFA in ceramic sculpture at Mount St. Mary's College, Los Angeles, Ca. in 1980 and her MFA in ceramic sculpture/foundry at the University of Montana, Missoula, MT. in 1984 where she studied with Rudy Autio.

The past 20 years she has worked across the state of New Mexico as a ceramic artist in various artist and residence programs such as Very Special Arts, Challenge New Mexico, and New Mexico Arts. From 1991 through 1995 Joyce was the art teacher at Crownpoint Jr./Sr. High School, Crownpoint, New Mexico.

In 2000 she received an MA in Special Education from New Mexico Highlands University and in the fall of 2002 she graduated from Texas Tech University with her Ph.D. in Fine Arts, Art Education. Joyce has exhibited her artwork throughout the United States, in Canada, China and Russia. Joyce teaches the Art Education classes, Ceramics and Art Appreciation.
